The public/private partnership bill passed overwhelmingly in both the House and Senate on the last day of session, and is now on its way to the Governor for his signature. Since the legislation arose at the Governor's request, there is little concern about the Governor signing it into law.
Big thanks to the bill’s two lead sponsors, Senator Miguel Diaz de la Portilla and Representative Greg Steube, for their hard work and tireless efforts, especially over the past couple of weeks which were very difficult and turbulent.
For those who want to learn how to implement this groundbreaking statute, please join us in Orlando at our conference of the newly formed Florida Council for PublicPrivate Partnerships on May 16th & 17th.
Attached is the conference agenda and registration form. Or you can go to the website –www.fcp3.org– to learn more and register for the conference. On Day 2 of the conference, you will hear a review of the newly minted bill, follow by a panel discussion on what this means for Florida.
