2nd Wednesday Safety Sessions

March: Wednesday, February 10, 2021

A change in President of The United States of America leads to changes in the leadership and direction of the Occupational Safety & Health Administration. The coming changes were exemplified on day one of President Biden’s term when he issued an Executive Order on Protecting Worker Health and Safety related to COVID-19. OSHA also has a new acting administrator, Jim Frederick, who takes over an agency that has not had a permanent, Senateconfirmed assistant labor secretary since January 2017. What does the change in leadership and attitude mean for Safety Professionals like you? What should you prepare for?

FEBRUARY: Wednesday, February 10, 2021

Our topic this month is Understanding the Focus 4 for Construction with Mike Fredebeil, CSP, North American Leader of Construction Risk Control for the Willis Towers Watson Construction Practice. This presentation is a discussion on the differences between the OSHA Focus 4 and the Focus 4 for Commercial Construction Insurance. Contractors spend a great deal of time and resources to control injuries and illnesses related to the OSHA Focus 4. Contractors also spend a lot of money for insurance. Understanding the Insurance Focus 4 will help contractors save money, get better coverage terms, improve Craft relationships, improve owner relationships, and achieve a more competitive bidding advantage.
